Day 1. Zagreb – arrival

Tour of Zagreb with a local guide & Dinner and overnight in hotel in Zagreb

Day 2. Zagreb – Zagrebacka pivovara (Zagreb Brewery)

After breakfast we will visit Zagrebacka Pivovara (Brewery). Zagrebacka Brewery was opened in 1892. In 1893 it began producing today’s best-selling beer in Croatia, Ozujsko pivo. Zagrebacka Brewery was founded when brewers from the Upper Town of Zagreb realized they were not able to produce enough beer for the ever growing and developing city.Due to security reasons we are unable to visit the inside of the brewery, but we will visit Pivana.Tour of Pivana Museum (30 minute tour) including Beer tastingLunch in restaurant Pivana, Pivana is part of the brewery complex where guests can eat and enjoy beer. Since June 2012, Zagrebacka Brewery has been a part of Molson Coors Europe business unit. Today, it produces a variety of beer brands.

After lunch we will visit the Garden Brewery, where the group will have a guided tour and beer degustation.

Day 3. Visit of Karlovačko brewery and Brewery Medvedgrad - Ljubljana

After breakfast we head for Karlovac to visit the Karlovacko Brewery. The Karlovacko Brewery was opened in 1854. Karlovacko beer is the secondmost popular beer in Croatia. Karlovacko Brewery became a member of Heineken in 2003., the leading beer manufacturer in Europe. Karlovacko as a member of Heineken has access to products, corporate tools and rich experience, to help further satisfy customer needs. We will tour the facilities of the brewery with an English Speaking guide - this tour lasts about 1 hour, after the tour we have an organized beer tasting.

On our way back to Zagreb we will visit Brewery Medvedgrad. A micro-brewery which opened in 1994. The first brewery in Croatia to produce wheat beer. We will have a small tour of their production and followed by lunch in micro-brewery Medvedgrad.

After lunch we head for Ljubljana. In the late afternoon guided tour of Ljubljana then overnight in Ljubljana hotel

Day 4. Union and Lsško Brewery

After breakfast we will head towards Union Brewery. Union Brewery was founded in 1864 but production started in 1867 when the brewery was completed. The Brewery went through many different owners before being owned by Lasko Brewery to this day.

The tour with a guide will start at 12h, we will pass through the production facilities then proceed towards the museum where we will see the history behind today’s Union Brewery. When we end our tour of the museum we will taste some of the products produced in this brewery. Lunch after the tour. We will now head towards Lasko Brewery. Lasko Brewery was opened in 1825. Its first beer was branded as Thermal beer as thermal water flows through the town of Lasko. The starting point is TIC Lasko in the town center (Valvasorjev trg 1, 3270 Lasko) where the tour guide awaits you. The tour consists of a visit to the Museum Lasko, the Brewery Lasko and beer tasting in one of the local restaurants. The tour lasts about 2.5 hours. Lasko & Union Breweries are part of Heineken Group. Return to Ljubljana where we will overnight.

Day 5. Buje Brewery - Zagreb

After breakfast we will leave Ljubljana and head towards Buje in Istria. In Istria we will find Buje Brewery which produces San Servolo beer. San Servolo beer from Buje Brewery is made according to the German beer purity law from 1516. Natural spring water from the  St. Ivan spring, near the valley of the river Mirna gives this beer its natural freshness.
